A Tinkerbell Bash!

I can't believe how fast Kylie's 1st year went by. I just thank God every day for bringing her into our lives. I love watching the boys just light up when she is around and look out for her. I love her cheerful attitude and her smile that lights up the room. I just love everything about her, even in her cranky moments.

Kathryn is gone at church camp right now, and unfortunately had to miss Kylie's party. So the day before Kylie's birthday, we opened her presents before Kathryn left for camp. Kylie was definitely more interested in the boxes, tissue, and bags than the actual present.

Oh, and the board puzzle. Always good for teething.

She does love her new Tinkerbell blanket though! Just this last week, she decided that her blankies are her lovies, and she will scream (literally!) at anyone who tries to snuggle with HER blankies! Today I gave her old extra pink one to Tyler while his was in the wash, and she seriously screamed at him until he gave it back. It was pretty funny!

Rice krispie 'pixie dust' stars for the party.

Kylie with her new bubble machine.

Mmmm, eating the bubbles.

This was a 'no, mine!' moment. She is starting to really define what is hers and not the boys' now.

And these are the AMAZING Tinkerbell cakes. Turned out better than I ever could have imagined!

Party time!

I absolutely loved her orange and pink outfit.

I think she was a little overwhelmed by all of the presents and the many kids surrounding her 'helping' her open them.

She was so blessed with so many wonderful gifts of toys and clothes!

She wasn't too sure what to think about the cake. She poked it with one finger for about 10 minutes before she finally reached the cake part underneath. She tasted the frosting, but that was about it. Didn't really eat any of the actually cake.

See the one-finger touch action she has going on?

Happy 1st birthday baby girl!!!
