Tillamook Beach Day

Today was a great day! We decided to get out of the house and do something, so we loaded up after a great banana pancakes and bacon breakfast and headed to Tillamook.

On the way we got to see a HUGE head of elk. Mike's dream come true!

The boys were very excited to see these cows as soon as we walked through the doors of the Cheese Factory.

The boys were absolutely fascinated with the cheese production 'train'. They would have stayed for hours and have already asked to go back.

Then we headed to hike to the Meares Lighthouse. It was the perfect day...partially sunny, 50 degrees, no rain.

It was a long walk packing Kylie in, but she loved it. Yhe boys walked the whole way and did great!

Then we headed to the beach at Netarts to let the boys play in the sand.

Disney Live!

Yesterday I got to take the boys to Portland to see Disney Live!, their Christmas present from Grandpa Dave and Grandma Cherie. They were so excited!

They each got a new toy as a souvenir from the show.

We had awesome seats! Front row!

The show had all of the boys' friends: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Cinderella, Tigger, and the whole Toy Story crew!

Zachary especially loved this huge Mickey Mouse balloon that came out of the car.

Tyler is still at that 'no pictures' phase but luckily he was still in the picture.

It was so much fun to have this time to spend with the boys and watch them get so excited about such a magical show!

A Rollin' and a Laughin'

Kylie is up to all sorts of new tricks now that she is 5 months old. She loves to laugh...especially at peek-a-boo or when you tickle her tummy. She also absolutely loves her exersaucer...she'd stay in here for hours if I'd let her! Tonight Kathryn decided to play peek-a-boo with Kylie and when she started laughing like crazy, I had to get the camera.

And Kylie also loves to roll. She loves being mobile, and I have to watch everything on the ground in her sight or she'll be into it and putting it in her mouth. I will set her down on one side of the room and look a minute later and she's already over to the other side. The nice thing is that she loves to be on the floor rolling around so much that I can leave her there for quite a while and she entertains herself!

Kylie's First Cereal

Now that Kylie is 5 months old, I decided to start her on some rice cereal tonight. She seems really interested in food, and is always trying to get ahold of anything that we eat.

I set her up in her Bumbo, got out a bib (first time she's worn one) and made up some cereal.

You will notice Tyler in the picture...he has been begging me to give her cereal for weeks so when I finally said...okay....he was all for helping me get set up.

Let me tell ya, Kylie was definitely ready for cereal!

Look at her grabbing for the bowl! I think next time I'll give her her own spoon to hold so that she quits trying to grab mine!

(please disregard the VERY bad hair day that she's having....) : )

This is what she looked like at the end of her feeding. Not bad at all!

Just a quick wipe and she was good to go! She didn't wear the cereal like the boys did after their first cereal experience!

And then I gave her the spoon and let her just chomp away on it. She's teething like crazy so she loved the feel of it on her gums.

I can't wait to start experimenting with the different fruits and vegetables and see what she likes! Hopefully she'll be a great eater, just like the boys.

Kylie's First Ponytail

Kylie is 4 1/2 months old now and still has a ton of hair! None of it has fallen out, but it is definitely getting lighter. Her bangs are so long and always in her eyes, so I decided to pull her bangs into a little ponytail today. Pretty cute!

And this is her new favorite pose. She loves her little toes!

She can roll over now so she spends quite a bit of time on the floor, which makes her very happy!
