Kylie's new Tinkerbell room

Well, Matthew is officially a Washingtonian.  He has lived there for a week now.  The house is eerily quiet now......wait, who am I kidding.  It is NOT quiet.  But it is weird having him gone.  We text every day though so I'm doing ok.  The tears come now and then but at least I am not a sobbing wreck like I was last weekend!!!

Since Matthew's room is now vacant (people keep asking where he will sleep.  Well people, football is year round.  He'll probably come home for Christmas and Spring Break....if that.  He won't be home much and it isn't worth saving his room for a few nights a year when poor Kylie was shoved in with the boys.  We still have plenty of beds and the trailer so Matthew will for sure have a place if / when he comes home), we turned Matthew's 'boy room' as Kylie called it into her Tinkerwonderland.  Here are some pictures:

Yes, this room is FAIRY OVERLOAD.  All of the little fairies are just decals so we can easily un-fairy it if it becomes too much.  She loves it though and that's all that matters for now.  = )

Matthew's Graduation Party

Today we celebrated Matthew's graduation with friends and family.  I love this kid so much.  I am so thrilled that he gets to go away to free college and play football.  I am so proud - BURSTING with pride.  But man I am going to miss him.  I cry every time I talk about it.  The count is on....one week and counting.  But today we celebrated.  We did a joint party with a friend of his named Bronson.  It was a great time.

This picture melts my heart.  It also breaks my heart.  This little girl is going to be heartbroken next week.  I worry that she is still 3 and will she remember Matthew and how important he has been in her life?  I am sure she will but I know how hard his leaving is going to be on the little kids so I am not looking forward to that.  But this picture is something that I know they will both treasure forever.  I am so glad that I captured it.

People, life has been crazy the last 3 weeks.  And I don't just mean busy.  I mean C-R-A-Z-Y busy.  But I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Unfortunately I see tears there too and an empty bedroom as Matthew heads off to college (yep, here comes the tears now - this seems to be a several-times-a-day occurrence).  But Matthew is grown and is heading off to start his life on his own and I'm just going to have to get used to it as I have 4 more to go.  Here's a quick snapshot of our last few weeks.
The boys' last baseball game and pizza party.  They love sports.  Tyler especially loves baseball.  It's always sad to see a season go, but in the meantime, we have soccer camp and swim lessons and church camp and then football starts, so they will survive.

Kylie and Titan.....our poor cat.  Kylie loves him (aka smothers him constantly).
She was entertaining me last weekend before church.  Silly girl.
Kathryn graduated 8th grade.  We now have a high schooler on our hands.  She was all dressed up for her school graduation.

After her program....below is Kathryn with her best friend Rashelle.

I also had my piano recital this week for my students.  I have 16 students so it was a long recital.  Each student plays 2 individual songs, then 1 duet with me.  We prepare music for about 5 months. It is a lot of work!  Programs, certificates, reception...this year my mom and my aunt made 9 desserts for us.
These are Oreo cookies covered in melted chocolate with music note designs.  Each student got one as a present in the music box below.

These were the name tags next to the desserts on the plate.
These are pictures of the boys' last day of Kindergarten.  We went for Field Day and I snapped some pictures before school let out for the day.  I now have two 1st graders!

Tyler has to have surgery next month on his mouth.  He will have an IV and be put to sleep.  I am scared, but I love his doctor and I know it will really help him.  He was pretty comfortable there at the office.  He was playing his Kindle in the chair.

So, lots going on!
