Giving Thanks

I have so much to be thankful for. My life is so blessed. God has given me everything that I could possibly ask for. Thank you for being a part of my life.
We had a great Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Tyler had a new outfit and new boots and he loved showing them off to everyone!
The football-watching crew - cousin Jocelyn, Mike, Sandi and Irvin, and Uncle John

Yummy dinner! The boys loved sitting at the table with everyone else.

All of the cousins, the four kids, Rob....

Kathryn and Jocelyn snuggling next to Irvin.

And after a full day of playing and laughing and eating, sleepy time!!!

Playdate

Our friend Larissa, who is 3, came over for a playdate today! The boys and Kathryn (and I!) had so much fun having her over! First they got to build towers with the blocks.
Then, it was watching Kathryn eagerly while she frosted the cookies that they soon would decorate. (Let me tell ya, trying to do sprinkles with 3 toddlers is a bit messy!!!)
Then eating the finished results....
And then I made homemade purple play-doh (Zach's FAVORITE color is purple) and they played play-doh in the garage for awhile.
Then we had some finger and toenail painting action going on for the girls, and an Elmo movie for the boys....and of course some good snacks and lunch, and it was a great playdate!

Firsts and Fun

The boys are really showing their independent streaks at age 2! Zachary had just woken up and was still in his pajamas and had to throw on the rubber boots and the hat! Mike gave the boys this hunting/camo hat that is too small and Zachary especially just loves it! And more than once this last week he's been able to go out in his boots shopping. Its what he wants to wear and I just try not to get too worked up about it.

And onto the sleeping update: I finally just moved the crib mattresses to the floor and they are sleeping on the floor until I get their cribs sold. (know anyone that wants to buy a crib?) Hopefully soon we'll have their new bunk beds.
And, a new first: Playdoh. We went to the boys' friend Tristan's house today and he had playdoh out and the boys really seemed to enjoy it, so I broke out the playdoh that the boys got for their birthday.

Tyler especially had fun making 'noodles'.

Honors Choir

Kathryn loves to sing. Absolutely loves it. Which I am very pleased about, let me tell ya. My entire life has been filled with singing and choir memories. So I was very excited when she told us she wanted to audition for Elementary Honors Choir. And she made it in! Last night was her first concert. It was a combined concert with the high school and the middle school.
Here she is in her choir t-shirt.
She is in the 2nd row from the top, and the 5th one from the left. She was very excited, but also a bit nervous last night, but she did phenomenal!

This is the whole West Salem Elementary Honors Choir. They were so cute! And they did such a fabulous job!

Here is the combined number 'Shine On Me' that they sang with the middle school and the high school.

This was Kathryn's favorite that her choir sang, 'Hine Mah Tov'.

Big Boys

Gosh, it just seems like my boys are getting SO BIG SO FAST! I took a few random photos over the last few days and they just look like big kids now versus the babies they were!

Halloween

We had a great Halloween! Kathryn dressed up as Hannah Montana this year!
Zachary was a monkey with a banana in his pocket and a curly tail
Tyler was a skunk, and by the tail, on the butt, is a red heart that says 'Lil Stinker' which is completely appropriate for him!
Grandma and Grandpa came over and helped us go trick-or-treating.

The boys had a great time! Tyler was really good at ringing the doorbell (over and over and over and over....) and Zachary would say 'tick or teet' and then say 'tank you'. It was pretty cute!

Notice Zach's blankie had to come along! He had a fever of 101 all day long and I was surprised at how well he actually did that night. We think his molars are coming in at full force and both he and Tyler have had high fevers and sore mouths all week.
This is our neighbor Tom's house. It was the first house that they went to. They love Tom's house (we always go over to play with his 4 yr. old grandson) so after they got their candy, they just marched right in!

Kathryn got to go with us for a while that night and the boys loved having 'Ka Ka' along.
Hope you and your family had a great Halloween too!
