Halloween!!

I love Halloween. I love that the kids get so excited for it. I usually find stuff on clearance to stick away for the following year, which makes me even more excited when I can pull out new things that I got for a fraction of the price. This year's fun new (year old) things: Kylie's Happy Halloween Tinkerbell shirt ($.50) and her purple ghost tights ($.74).

I never did get a very good picture of them, she's so fast now! But this gives you an idea anyway. Unfortunately I got a stomach flu on Friday so we didn't get to attend a couple of events and parties we had hoped to, but the good news is that we got lots of time to rest at home, and no one else got my bug (so far).

Tonight we got all dressed up to head to the church's Trunk or Treat party.

Zachary is a giraffe and Tyler is a dalmation (fireman dog, as he says). Kylie is a butterfly.

Apparently he likes this more as a hat than to put candy in.

Kylie didn't really get the whole concept at first, but after the first few times of trick or treating, she would march right up to each house and take candy, then try to take more. It was adorable!

Here we are, heading into church.

I wonder what the weather is like up there!!

Kathryn was such a great helper with Kylie. Those two scored all sorts of awesome candy!

The big haul. We are going to have candy forever, I think....

Happy Halloween!!!

1st Annual Girls Coast Trip

Trish, Kylie and I went to the coast for the night. We stayed in Lincoln City at a great hotel. We had an absolutely wonderful time!!

We of course had to hit the outlets for a bit of shopping, went to a great dinner, some swimming and hot tub time, and watched some great sitcoms on tv with a bottle of wine!

Kylie loved running the halls. I think she really enjoyed just having some individual attention from Aunt Trish and I.

She loved the big beds and all the room on the floor to roll around!

Today we went to Depot Bay to do a little more shopping and wandering. Here's Kylie and her Aunt Trish.

Kylie and I. What a fun few days we had! Can't wait to go again next year!

The new truck

So, we've had an ongoing truck drama in our house for months now. For those of you that remember Mike's old truck, it was his "dream truck". It was a 2001 Ford F150 Lariat truck. He absolutely loved that truck. But, he had been complaining about the poor gas mileage over the last few years. Fast forward awhile...my grandfather in Washington purchased a 5th wheel trailer not long before he had to move into an assisted living home, so we are now the proud owners of a small, but very nice, 5th wheel trailer. Mike's truck just wasn't equipped to pull the trailer, so.....we sold it, and borrowed a neighbor's vehicle while we searched for a new truck. Well, not new, but new to us. This is what we found: a 1999 Ford F350 Diesel. We love it!! And, it gets way better gas mileage so Mike is very happy!

That's the trailer in the background. Hopefully once I get it all situated I'll put some pics on here of it.

New tires and rims

I love the camo carseat covers (he has used them for 9 years and couldn't part with them) and the Harley Davidson floor mats. Pretty much covers my husband's favorite hobbies!

My little dancer

Kylie is definitely a little girl now, no longer a baby. Look at this cute little pink dress with her pink rubber boots! Although I dress her in lots of pink and frilly dresses, she definitely strives to keep up with the boys. Loves to play outside, get dirty, chase balls...I love it!

She also absolutely adores her big sister Kathryn. She watches Kathryn dance to the music all of the time, and lately any time she hears a tune, she dances. I am so happy that she has all of her big siblings to look up to and learn from. I see pieces of each of the 4 older kids in her.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Fall is here!! I am definitely not ready for the fall weather, but, it is fun to get out the Halloween decorations, so I guess I will have to just keep looking at the positive side.

Just a cute pic of Kylie stuck under the coffee table.

We headed to the pumpkin patch this week. We decided that a weekday is the best time to go...no charge, no lines, etc. Our friend Aliyah came with us also. We had the best time ever.

Notice Miss Kylie's pink rubber boots! Love them!! She was totally freaked out by the hay bales.

Doesn't she look so tiny next to Mike? = )

These mini-tractors were the best! The kids rode them for quite a while.

Snack break!

Searching for the perfect pumpkin.

Zachary was fascinated at how this pumpkin is 2 different colors, so we had to get photos.

Kylie clapping her hands on the tractor

Off to pay for our pumpkins!

And Mr. Tyler arranged everything by the front door as soon as we got home. So cute!

We also decorated our Halloween House to really complete our preparations.

Turned out fabulous, don'tcha think?!
