Mike and I just returned from a much-needed 3 day vacation! We went to Belknap Hotsprings on the McKenzie River just for some 'alone time'. It was great! We stopped on the drive there and hiked into Sahalie Falls, as you see below.
Then we went to our lodge. This is a view of the beautiful river.
This is the view from our room. You can barely see the hotsprings pool in the low left corner. It was over 100 degrees and we really couldn't stand it during the day when the sun was out. We usually went in at night when the outside temp was cooler.
At the hotsprings, there are tons of gardens and hiking trails so we wandered out quite a bit to see the gardens.

We also did some hiking up to Proxy Falls, which was great. So beautiful! And on the last morning, we rafted the McKenzie River. It was so fantastic and fun to get away. It's amazing what just a short break from the kids and every day life can do for you.
And last but not least, we had a jacuzzi tub in our room. I, forgetting about the jacuzzi part, thought it would be great to have a bubble bath. So in the soap goes. When Mike hit the jacuzzi button, the bubbles went crazy! I made Mike hop in and snapped a picture before he could protest. I figured I would NEVER again get a picture of him in a bubble bath. And he would die if he knew I put this on here. But that's half the fun!

How wonderful that the two of you got away for a few days! That place looks beautiful, Eddie and I will have to visit it someday! I'm showing Eddie the picture of Mike in the bubble bath....ha ha ha ha!!! :)
Ohhhh, so I shouldn't show my Mike the picture of your Mike in his bubble bath so he can be teased at work? Ooops, just did! (Like you didn't know THAT would happen!)
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, I'm glad you got to get away. I'm jealous of the bubble bath...:)
How awesome does that place look??!! Brent would kill me if I posted a photo like that of him! When Mike sees it, be prepared for him to do the practical joke of a lifetime to you! The vacation looks great, I need to get all the details from you!
