Memorial Day Camping

My family was so excited to go camping at Fishermen's Bend this holiday weekend!  Mike had to work, so this was my first experience of driving the truck and trailer.  Oh my, I was a little nervous! But we managed.
I also forgot my camera....oops!!  But, I took a few pictures with my cell phone.  We had SUCH a GREAT weekend and I love love love my family!!!
This is the caterpillar that I found that Zach made a home for.  He was so incredibly excited.  Our caterpillar is home with us now, and Zachary is hoping to keep it and watch it turn into a butterfly.  I think I need to Google this tomorrow and find out more about this process!  (aka, can we do this without actually killing the poor cute creature!)
Kylie and Kathryn slept in our trailer, Matthew slept in the tent, and the boys slept with my parents for the first 2 nights in their trailer.  Last night, they slept in the tent with Matthew.  Oh man, they were sooooo happy!  The first night, Kathryn and Kylie set up their beds (they slept on the same bed, so cute!) and watched a movie and ate popcorn.
The last day of camping, Kylie was sitting on the ground playing in the rocks.  At one point, I noticed it was very quiet....way too quiet....and this is what I found.  Yes, Kylie was ASLEEP like this!  Poor baby was tired!  Kathryn took pity on her and picked her up and let her sleep on her chest for an hour or so.
We lucked out and our camp spot was right next to the path to the playground.  And the campground was small enough that the kids could ride their scooters and bikes around the loop (over and over and over and over again) without us worrying.  I actually felt mostly rested and relaxed when I got home!  Amazing!!  ; )
