Tulip Festival 2012

On Monday, we made the trek to the Tulip Festival. I was really cloudy and windy, but no rain. We met my parents there to have a picnic lunch and play and look at the beautiful flowers.
Duck races - that's my dad in the orange sweatshirt. I think this is the only picture I managed to get of him. How sad is that!
This is Kathryn's BFF Rashelle. We were very glad to have her join us for the day.
Awww, gotta love the giant wooden shoe wagon.
And my personal favorites - these horsey tire swings.
The boys think this is the greatest ever - it is a pipe slide. It looks and sounds so bumpy the whole way down but they love it!

Kathryn took Kylie up it (which virtually gave me a heart attack as there are really no rails going up or coming down and I kept worrying Kathryn would fall backwards) but once up there, Kylie didn't want to come down. But, they finally managed (and I said NO MORE SLIDE FOR KYLIE!)

Sand boxes with farm equipment

SO beautiful.

I am worried that with the size of their father and brother and how much these kids can eat, that some day these shoes may fit them.

My little T-ball players

I love sports. Just absolutely love them. There is nothing better than watching your child be a part of a team and make friends and learn such a fun game. The boys are playing their first season of T-ball and have an amazing coaching staff. :)
This is the Dodgers team. This is the great sign that a few moms and I made one night at my house. Love it! We will put it up on the fence at all of their games.
This is at Opening Ceremonies where the T-ball teams get to parade in to show off their signs.
Pretty soon the boys will be too big to ride on big sister's shoulders!

First game, and such beautiful weather! It is the cutest organized chaos I have ever seen! I am really excited for this season. We have some great friends on the team and I love that the boys get to play with them.
Tyler is #8 and Zach is #2. For those of you that know me well and know my weird obsession with even and odd numbers...I am very glad to say that when the coach tried to give Tyler #9, I was able to protest and get him an even number. Bless you, Coach Craig. Odd numbers bug me so bad!!

Go Dodgers!!

New Swingset

My parents sold the little play structure that they had bought for the boys when they were little and got the kids a new swing set. The kids absolutely love to swing. Luckily they got a great weather day to put it together.
I think it took Papa and Grandma and the kids 6 hours to get it built. Papa was a little frustrated by the end of the project. :)

Can't wait for the summer months for them to get lots of use out of it!

Happy Birthday Mike & Kathryn!!

This week we are celebrating Mike's 45th birthday and Kathryn's 13th birthday. We had a little gathering on Sunday to celebrate.
Grandma Meredith and Emmet gave Kathryn a beautiful Bible that I know she will cherish.

Matthew and Tyler wrestling around...I am not sure who enjoys it more, Matthew or Tyler.
Kathryn got some wonderful presents from family and friends.

Kylie eating her cake on the floor. Not sure why she wanted to be on the floor....

Silly Zachary.
Happy Birthday to two of my favorite people! I cannot believe Kathryn is 13. She was just 1 the first time I met her. I could not have asked for a better big sister to my children. She is amazing with her passion and love for Christ and has grown into an amazing young woman that I admire each and every day. Mike....well....he's just still grumpy at his old age. :) Just kidding. Love him too.
